Parent's Night Off (Halloween Edition)

Kids have fun, parents get a break!

Once a month, we host what we like to call “Parent’s Night Off”. This is a night for parents to drop off their kids to a fun and safe environment where they can make friends and build a community with those here at Moorimgoong, while parents get a night to themselves.

While some of these nights switch things up a little, each night is geared for kids of all interests to have a blast. If you have any questions about our “Parent’s Night Off” events, please email our Creative Director, Mr. Caleb, at caleb@moorimgoong.co .

A Special Halloween-Themed Night

It’s October! Which means spoooooky fun – but don’t worry, no kid will leave this night scared. Here’s what they can expect:

  • Pumpkin Carving

  • 8-Player Super Smash Bros.

  • Ghostly Dodgeball

  • Spooky Fun Games

  • Pizza & Ice Cream

Overnight Stay

A special thing we love to offer is our Overnight Stay option for kids 8 to 13. This means the fun goes past 11pm and parents don’t have to pick up their kids until the morning. During that extra time, the Overnighters will get more time to play games, watch movies, and in the morning, they’ll receive breakfast before they leave.

Things they’ll need for Overnight Stay:

  • Sleeping Bag & Pillow

  • Pajamas

  • Toothbrush and Toothpaste

  • Water Bottle

Option #1: Evening Only (Ages 4 to 13)

  • 7PM to 11PM

  • $30 for First Child

  • $10 per Additional Siblings

Option #2: Evening & Overnight (Ages 8 to 13)

  • 7PM to 9AM Saturday

  • $45 for First Child

  • $20 per Additional Siblings

Parent’s Night Out FAQs

Do children have to be a current student at Moorimgoong to attend Parent’s Night Off?
Nope! In fact, it’s a great time for students to invite their friends to hang out as well!

Who will be watching my kids for the evening and the overnight?
You children’s safety is our #1 priority. Every leader and staff member is hand picked and vetted before being placed in the care of your child. They will be taken care of by a mix of staff, our F.L.i.P. Interns, and adult volunteers.

I have a child under the age of 8. Is it possible for them to stay for the overnight?
We do occasionally allow those under the age of 8 to stay on a case-by-case basis. If you are ever interested in this option, please ask Mr. Caleb or Chief Master Daniel.

October Belt Test (Friday and Saturday)

Test eligibility depends on a combination of attendance, student home rules (for those under 18), and Master's approval. If you have any questions about the requirements for your current belt level, please ask Chief Master Daniel, Mr. Pengson or Mr. Caleb.

The October belt test will be on Friday, Oct. 5 @ 8:30 to 9:30pm and Saturday, Oct. 6 @ 1:30 to 2:30pm. If you are testing, you are only required to attend one of these options.

Registration forms will be due by Friday, Sept 28. Fees will incur if turned in late.

For those taking the belt test, remember to bring your full uniform. Students may be subject to failing the test without a complete Dobok.

Please make sure to have the Student Home Rules filled out on the back page of the Belt Test Form. Rules #1-7 should be graded by parents and #8-10 by their teachers.
